YOGA - WEST OF THE NARROWS
STUDIO EXPERIENCE
Last week, I took to my first studio stop heading to Gig Harbor Strength and Fitness in Pierce County. Familiar with the area, I was able to find the entrance towards the location easily (just make sure to go to the lower level!). Parking was plentiful and seemingly private.
Neatly tucked in the suite, the fitness facility was clean and well-lit with natural light. Most of the activity seemed to be happening on the opposite end from where the studio space for classes are held, which helped for reducing noise disturbance while class was in session (although, we may have just gotten lucky!).
The was class held by J & Maria, a co-hosting effort that allowed for ample visual aid & hands-on assists, while providing two complimentary energies to guide you through the postures and relaxation. Vinyasa based, souful and engaging, this class was a perfect way to work out the energy from the week & unwind. Even though it was 8pm when it was over, I walked away feeling the energy to go do something, but also the level of relaxation to not care if I did.
Early a.m. Yoga classes are offered, and yes, they have showers for those who like a class before heading off to start the day. Drop in for classes or become a member.
Namaste, Yogis!
